Our Internet marketing guy is always telling us that Google has a lot of pretty cool tools to help formulate a business strategy. So when some of us at GKA were we were recently discussing a question that we all clearly didn’t agree on, we decided to check out one of these so called “cool Google tools”  to see what it could tell us about our question – and who was right and who was wrong on this particular point (of course).The Question?

Today it is becoming more clear that the new generations often think about "work" differently than the baby boomers have in the past, and in many cases still do (for example). Many studies have been done on certain generational differences in the way that people think and act, including when sizing up different job opportunities. As a recruiter, you may want to keep in mind that today’s candidate pool includes Millennials, GenX, GenY, and Baby Boomers. And depending upon the individual candidate, the generation they are a part of may have an influence on what they value in work, and how they evaluate one job or company to work for over another.

On Thursday, Oct. 19, Maatta was called for a penalty and as Pittsburgh successfully killed it, Maatta came out of the box found the open ice and had a breakaway which led to a penalty shot for Maatta.  Maatta made the goal hitting off Minnesota goalie Niklas Backstrom’s leg pad, making Maatta the 2nd defenseman in Penguins franchise history to score on a penalty shot since George Konik Jan. 31, 1968.
